EMS offers an all risk insurance protection policy for your household goods, personal effects, fine art, automobiles, boats, motorcycles, campers & Trailers moving by air, sea and road.
In the vast majority of cases all our assignees goods arrive on time and in perfect condition. However, due to the nature of international moving it is possible that, on occasion, damages may occur. We therefore strongly suggest that the assignee obtains comprehensive relocation insurance that adequately covers the cost of replacing any damaged items. EMS will provide you with a simple insurance solution at a competitive price.
EMS average less than 3% of insurance claims. This is one of the lowest in the industry.

The Process
The process is easy. Your international move specialist will provide you with all the documentation you need to set up your relocation insurance policy. Upon booking your move you will receive the policy summary. This will guide you on how to complete the proposal form, talk you through exclusions and optional coverage, and provide you with the application for insurance and the Terms and conditions of the policy.
EMS are flexible towards your valued listing preference. You can choose to detail all items or simply list items valued over £1,000.00, and there is no limit on any item.
In the later instance, value and premium calculations are based on the volume shipped. For transparency EMS will calculate these rates for you prior to your removal.

How to make a claim
Making a claim is simple and easy. Your international move specialist will remain your one point of contact and help and support throughout the process.
In certain circumstances, our insurers may appoint a Loss Adjuster; the adjusters’ role is to examine the scenes of the losses and investigate circumstances giving rise to the claim. A Loss Adjuster will not assist in the preparation of a claim, but will advise you of what Insurers will require to consider the claim.
Our team of IMS have authority to immediately settle In house any claim up to £250.00. This will immediately avoid any disruption to assignees as they settle into their new home.
In the event of loss or damage which might give rise to a claim under the insurance, immediate notice must be given in writing by you either to ourselves, the origin or a destination agent.
